Diversity
While many law firms boast about their diversity “plans,” “statements” and “initiatives” Mitchell & Associates simply is what it is – a minority owned law firm with the skill, experience and capacity to go toe to toe with the monoliths of the legal community while maintaining a very real perspective on the changing face of the judiciary, juries and corporate tolerance. A graduate of one of the nation’s oldest historically black colleges and universities, Fisk University, and, conversely, Tulane Law School, Craig Mitchell founded the New Orleans based firm in December, 1999, in order to put to rest the notion that small and mid-size minority law firms could not provide the service and/or quality of majority law firms, let alone thrive in the competitive legal arena.
Mitchell & Associates, APLC, is a National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)/Louisiana Minority Business Council (LMBC) certified Minority Business Enterprise. See Certification ![]()
Kiana Aaron Mitchell is past Chair of the Louisiana State Bar Association Minority Involvement Section.
